Honda Ties for #1 in Customer Loyalty

A recent study by J.D. Power and Associates reveals which vehicles earned the best customer loyalty in 2010. Retaining  62 percent of its customers, Honda tied for first place. Measuring not only the rate automotive brands retain existing customers, the loyalty survey also documented reasons customers remain loyal.  Findings show that Honda's customer loyalty is driven by the Honda Accord, the Honda CR-V, and the Honda Pilot and owners' understanding of the vehicles?

Natural-Gas Model to Join Honda's Civic Lineup

Soon travelers and commuters in all 50 states will see a natural-gas version of Honda Motor Co.'s new Civic Sedan, the Civic GX, cruising down the streets. After selling approximately, 1,500 natural-gas-powered Civics each year (primarily to governmental fleets and some individuals in only four states); Honda will now be offering the environmental friendly GX nationwide.

Honda reveals its ninth-generation Civic Coupe and Sedan

After six years and 1.5 million sales for its eight-generation Civic, Honda took the wraps off an all-new ninth-generation Civic today at the Detroit Auto Show.

Honda Testing Electric Cars

Honda announced plans with Kumamoto Prefecture to advance their Electric Vehicle Testing Program for "next-generation personal mobility products," ie: electric vehicles (EVs). Honda announced earlier this month its plan for  Electric Vehicle Testing Programs in the US and Japan.

2011 Honda Civic Type-R



In late 2009, Honda imported 1850 of its Civic Type-R Euro from Britain. For 2011, the Japanese car maker will bring only 1500 units of the sports car coupe to sell. Why the cut backs? The Type-R is  produced at Honda's Swindon site in the UK - but the engine is coming under some fire overseas - it will be discontinued in most of Europe after this year for not meeting stricter emissions standards.
